Adam Stolz has been doing his thing for over a decade. And his new live mix from the electronic music festival in Kona, Hawaii doesn't disappoint. After listing to it twice this morning, its literally one of those "every track is dope" mixes. A constant hook, with continual hard not to dance to bass lines. I've know Adam for almost as long as he's been at this, and like his new live Mix, he always brings the hot shit.

Adam Stolz has been doing his thing for over a decade. And his new live mix from the Electronic Music Festival in Kona, Hawaii doesn’t disappoint. After listing to it twice this morning, its literally one of those “every track is dope” mixes. A constant hook, with continual hard not to dance to bass lines. I’ve know Adam for almost as long as he’s been at this, and like his new live Mix, he always brings the hot shit.

Adam is inches away from releasing more new tracks, and celebrating the opening of a brand new label called AUTEM in collaboration with a variety of super talents from around the world. Cheers!

” New Chicago based label, Autem Audio, is the brainchild collaboration of five friends: GVK, Sarp Yilmaz, DJ Da, Adam Stolz and Hearthug. All of them internationally acknowledged artists in their own right they have each enjoyed great success on different labels, now they join forces to establish a new fresh platform to release their own music with soul and passion. The concepts behind Autem are to develop each artists individuality and help push them creatively to new levels while still keeping the sound dance friendly with an underground spirit. The focus and attitude will be driven by a backing of quality production and researched sounds, while keeping the feel deep and yet also with a sense of humor. The Autem camp takes pride in their work and wants listeners to enjoy their productions, especially if that means losing it on the dance floor with smiles on their faces.”

In the months to come we’ll be doing an interview with Adam to discuss his career as an Electronic Music Producer, and DJ, along with the goings on with the new label.

This song is impressive for a first release, not because of how much is going on musically (its quite minimal), but how much comes through the way in which they deliver it.

Visiting Houses have released their remix of The Cyclist track “An Abyss Part 1″ This is the bands first release of material under the name. We have to point out who they are because frankly they have dedicated their lives to all things Indie, or better yet DIY. The project is from Liz and Dwight Pavlovic, undoubtedly a wonderful couple whose creative dedications find them starting a new magazine/webiste called Decoder, with long time friend and originator of the now defunct Get Off The Coast music blog, Jheri Evans. Its really a perfect union of artistry, which creates a massive amount of content on a daily basis. When they are not covering indie acts, the three sign bands to their popular Tape Label, Crash Symbols. The Pavlovic’s also own and operate Fig + Fox, a freelance design company that has in recent months, released some amazing cover art for bands and music projects around the world. Later this year we’ll learn all about their endeavors with a lengthy interview, and a artist mix that will be part of our series on iTunes. For now lets focus on their first musical release under the moniker Visiting Houses.

Visiting Houses “An Abyss Part 1 (Visiting Houses’ Creamed Corn Remix)” Off The Cyclists Remix Album by Twilight_Frequencies

Their Creamed Corn remix is filled with shades of dawn, or the stroll through an indifferent revelation about what to do next. This is a song you might find resting somewhere, nestled within the in between. When listening to the tune, which is nothing if not a tad bit on the scary side, you do find some flutters of hope, even if they come wrapped in angst. In a weird way its an epic struggle to find your way through, to find something other than, to find something. I have had many days like this one, the fog and misty ambience of nature that implies a greater good, but the lack of know how to find it. Think about all the lines that cross around you in life. The plants that grow or die, the water running from the rain, the rock slide in your main entrance. This song is impressive for a first release, not because of how much is going on musically (its quite minimal), but how much comes through the way in which they deliver it. On this one, Visiting Houses paint cinematic pictures for you to ruminate on.

The remix is off the new release on Crash Symbols called Rending Brass, The Cyclist Remixes. Its a nine track album you can download for free, or purchase the limited edition tape for five bones - A dynamite deal indeed!

These depths circulate the whole world. A mountain Range only appears as big as you can perceive its glory. These are just random thought I'm having while getting lost in "With Skates." On soundcloud there are tons of wonderful bands just waiting to be plucked from the bedroom, and spaces where they create. I stumbled onto Mountain Range, and the wonderful track produced by Stuart Thomas. The sound is absolute bliss, and its really hard not to talk with such lofty dispositions while listening to it.

This Gust of Wind comes through the park with sunglasses, fuzzed out noise, and a coolness undeniably perked from Rock-n-Roll.

In 2010 White Fence released their first record. The project is created by Tim Presley who is known for his work with the band Darker My Love. White Fence has a sound that throws back to the 60′s, evoking rolls down the hill, acid drops, and a girl with long curly hair that you keep trying to find, but of course the drugs have tricked you. You’re all alone on a hill. Its drenched with the noise and anarchist style of The Velvet Underground but doesn’t leave behind the hints of country and folk.

Is Growing Faith follows up the self titled debut with the same expression. You can’t help but smile listening to Presley’s vision spin out on the turntable. Its wonderful, recalling the liberation only found in recording music. He’s having fun , so much so that in some of the songs you’ll hear the pitch change and sound twisted. You can picture the band just saying WTF, lets just change it all for a few seconds. Or in this case the mastermind Presley, which makes the whole damn thing that much more impressive. This is the shit that plays in your head. White Fence brings us to the party with our constitutions intact, then provides the avenue in which to let go. We float through the atmosphere, naked with only a beach ball, flip flops, and a funny sense of life. Just let go and let you mind wonder, White Fence will get us there, together, but all by ourselves. You can do whatever the hell you want to do.

The Agency makes me happy! The video I selected does a good job expressing the reason why. Out of Paris France, The Agency is not your average indie rock band, but they do fit nicely in the pocket with any other critically acclaimed indie rockers. A high energy sound mixed with all the perfect gadgetry, which hits just when you think you’ve had enough. An escapade filled with lushes pop, and the moves and shakes to get you dancing. The Agency makes me smile, and I think they will do the same for you.

If you’re not familiar with Koushik its time to start paying attention. His last release Out My Window came out in 2008 on Stone Throw Records(vocal and instrumental release available). Its an album that is widely unknown that needs to be visited by you and others. Its the haze of summer gently humming through the speaks, its indeed my summer time play. When we roll to the lakes beneath the Smoky Mountains, Koushik provides the background. Constant rotation!

DJing since 14, Koushik grew up outside of Hamilton, Ontario, going to Indian classical singing lessons with his mother and listening to bands like My Bloody Valentine and Funkadelic, and later on, Madlib and Jay Dee. After completing his masters degrees in biostatistics and ethnomusicology from the University of Vermont, Koushik went on to release 2005′s Be With (whose sound reflects the eclecticism in his musical tastes), which includes songs off his Be With, One in a Day, and Battle Times EPs. Previous to that he co-wrote and sang two songs on Manitoba (later re-named Caribou)’s 2003 Up in Flames record. Koushik’s long awaited full-length debut, Out My Window came out in 2008 and not very coincidentally, had much in common with Caribou’s 2007 Andorra. ~ Marisa Brown, All Music Guide”

For fans of Daft Punk without any doubt. This group solidifies the atmospherics of an intergalactic escapade. Highly Enjoyable!
