Trip-hop

Highlights from last night were  Monolake, such an inspired artist, literally grinning as he performed. It wasn’t hard to tell he loves what he does. Plus the visual performer was genius, I would have been smiling indeed. After Monolake, we caught the end of Rich, he was playing some amazing house music. From the festival we bounced to the CLR party to see Marcel Dettmann, RadioSlave, Speedy J, and Chris Liebing. Two floors of sound, three floors of fun.

This is a track from the Fever Ray Free Track Friday: Fever Ray Triangle Walks (Ben Hoos still frame) upcoming Triangle Walks single. The single is out on 12″/digitally on June 23, and features remixes from Tiga, Allez-Allez, and more. This is Ben Hoo’s still frame remix. The track is nice and soothing as much of her work is… all while adding her chilling signature vocal-effect-blends and childhood memory lyrics.

After originally being stooped into thinking a new Massive Attack album was gonna hit the shelves all the way back in 2007, I’ve nearly lost interest over the much anticipated release from one of my top all-inspiring bands. They have now scheduled a tentative release date of Septemberish 2009er…but don’t hold yr breath…unless asphyxiation is yr thing.
