Downwards boss Regis takes the label back to it’s punishing roots with this new release from Ugandan Methods aka Regis and Ancient Methods. “Mat Oput 1/2″ is exactly what you would expect from Regis and Ancient Methods… menacing Industrial-Tech; quite a change from the last few releases on Downwards which tested the waters into indie-experimental-punk sounds. All great music that shows just how dynamic and refreshing a classic techno label can be.

Atlas Sound Bedroom Databank Vol 4 150x150 Free Music from Atlas SoundAtlas Sound must have been feeling very thankful, and generous, in the days leading up thanksgiving. Several posts on his blog have download links to full albums recorded in his bedroom, both from ancient history and present. I believe the original links were removed by Sony and he has since re-posted new download links. If you’re a fan this could be a great find:

free holiday music 25 Days of Free Holiday Christmas MusicI’ll admit it… I enjoy Christmas music. Not all of it, but there’s just something about trashing around the snowy roads of Michigan in a good ol’ American automobile to the pleasant tunes of the holiday season. It really boosts my Christmas spirit. So, in addition to torturing yourself to family television programming for the 25 Days of Christmas, why not snag some free X-Mas music to accompany you on your own winter travels? As luck has it, Amazon MP3 is giving away a new, free holiday song each day in December leading up to Christmas on the 25th. They’re keeping the content pretty fresh and relevant by featuring new artists with original tracks as well as renditions of classic favorites. Take advantage and look back each day for the new free holiday track. Come on… it’s the only time of year where being cheesy is really okay.
